Pros and cons of Blood Donor American Red Cross app for iPhone and iPad

Blood Donor American Red Cross app good for

Pretty pleased with the app. It seems pretty easy to maneuver.
Really love using this app - its helpful to see everything in one place. I would suggest adding RapidPass to the app though!
Love this app! I love the details I get for each appointment and how it synchronizes with everything else, like my calendar. I do wish, however, that we could mark our eligibility on it so that Red Cross could see. For example, Im pregnant now, so I cant donate for quite some time. I wish there were an option to check that. That way Red Cross doesnt need to waste time in contacting me. I do love the rapid pass and that the card can be scanned from our phone. Great app! Runs smoothly too. Very organized.
This app makes it so easy to schedule an appointment and track my history of donations! Definitely worth using, whether you are a frequent or infrequent donor.
I would like RapidPass integrated into this app. I would also like to schedule my next appointment in this app while I am waiting out my 15 minutes. (apparently I have to wait at least 24 hours before the systems sync). All in all, this is a great app.
It really encourages me to schedule and go to my next appointment. The map and date filters are key.

Some bad moments

After donating blood at my schools blood drive, I got a letter with my donor card and telling me about the app. I got really excited because I thought Id be able to track my donation, but when I put in my birthday it said I couldnt donate because I was too young and would need my parents consent. Obviously, I already donated and got consent, and I dont see any way I can make an account without lying about my age, which I dont want to do. There should be some way to tell the app that youve already donated or something, so people like me arent just banned from using the app.
So I downloaded the app and it didnt add all my info correctly. I had to call for them to sync the ap to my account. I made an appointment to give blood. While there the barcode didnt scan during sign in, neither did it scan during the vitals check. Both times my ID had to be typed in which left room for errors. I was hoping to see my blood journey but nope that wasnt working either. And now 2 weeks later the app hasnt updated the total number of units I have donated. There is lots of room for improvement.
I am 16 years old and have donated blood before through the Red Cross, when I relieved my donor card I went to create an account after downloading the app and it wont let me because Im not 17.
Was told Id get my blood type. Never appeared. App also acts like I need to schedule my first appointment when my first donation was almost a month ago now. Its good to donate blood, sure, but this app was supposed to be a fun reminder & tracker but its frankly worthless.
Ive been trying to enter my donor ID for weeks but nothing has happened. Apparently, there is no support for this app. Its a good idea but it is poorly designed in this aspect.
Good app to track your donations and schedule donations but as far as the rewards go, I have tried and tried again to get it to work to no avail. I redeem the rewards, then nothing... No email and it pops me right back to the main app page. Im not saying it will deter me from giving blood but it definitely upsets me.
